It’s that time of the year again! Love is in the air! Festivity, celebration and rejoicing fill the air! Yes, the Saviour of the world was born and died for our sins over 2000yrs ago!

It’s all bright, happy and colourful but I’d like us to pause and think.
Why are we really celebrating? Is it because someone told us to or is it because everyone is doing it so or because it is the right thing to do?
Oh No!
We celebrate because of the redeeming love of God shown by his awesome gift to us – the birth and sacrifice of His Son Jesus on the Cross for the sins of all mankind.
We are here because God gave. This is the premise and reason for the season!
‘‘For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life’ – Jn 3: 16
Imagine if God withheld Jesus from coming?
As we celebrate in this Christmas season, let us not forget that it is only because God gave, that we can celebrate.
So go ahead and show some love today. Give to your neighbours, give to the orphans, the widows and other less privileged; give to friends and family and let the world see Jesus in you.
Remember, you cannot love without giving. It is more blessed to give than to receive.
And for those grieving at this time, I wish you strength and peace. May God’s love lift you up during this season. My prayers and thoughts are with you all.
Keep growing! Keep giving!! Keep loving!!!
Merry Christmas and a happy New year! Joyeux Noel et Bonnes fêtes de fin d’année!!!
